The Malone Family
Meet the adorable Malone family, Sarah, Kyle and Maisie! Sarah has been a dear friend of mine since high school which made this shoot such a treat. She lives in Kansas now, so we don't get to see each other frequently; but that also makes her visits back home to Windsor, Colorado really special. This family has grown since we did this shoot and I just did a new shoot for them recently and thought, wow, I really need to blog the first one!
It is so apparent how much the Malone's love each other. Their connection made it easy to settle in and just play in front of my camera. You can see that Maisie was more than happy to be upside down, right-side up, or anywhere in between. She's such an adorable, smiley girl.
The more life I live, the more I treasure the moments I get to experience in my own life and in others' lives. It is so special to have known Sarah growing up and to be able to watch each other's families expand. When you're in high school you have certain dreams and plans you make with your friends. As you continue in life, some of those dreams come to pass and you also make new dreams. I didn't envision her husband or what her baby would look like back then, but now that I've met them, they seem like they were always part of her. A part of her soul personified.
The best part, though, was seeing how Sarah is with her daughter. She's a mom! This woman I knew as a girl now has a girl of her own and she's her mother! That may seem like a natural progression, but that makes it no less beautiful.
Sarah and I have shared so many moments over the years. We have laughed hard, gotten into trouble, cried and mourned together, but have always tried our hardest to lift each other up as friends and as strong women. I am truly honored to have been able to capture these moments of her young family. Moments we can both keep now.
Babies grow up so quickly and life goes faster and faster. Take the time to cherish each moment. I'd love to be part of creating unique moments you can keep. Reach out to me and let's have some fun!
